Nikolas Ventourakis returns to a car repair shop on the brink of disappearance—an Alfa Romeo workshop woven into both his personal history and the memories of those who once passed through it. Through long exposures, photographs, and video fragments, he traces the space’s gradual unmaking, transforming the fading site of labor into one of reflection, where memory, material, and the remnants of lived experience quietly intersect. This new body of works will form the core of his upcoming solo show at Callirrhoë.

Ο Νικόλας Βεντουράκης επιστρέφει σε ένα συνεργείο αυτοκινήτων στα πρόθυρα της εξαφάνισης—ένα συνεργείο Alfa Romeo άρρηκτα δεμένο τόσο με τη δική του ιστορία όσο και με τις μνήμες όσων το επισκέφτηκαν ανά τα χρόνια. Μέσα από μακράς διάρκειας λήψεις, φωτογραφίες και αποσπασματικά βίντεο, παρακολουθεί τη σταδιακή αποδόμηση του χώρου, μεταμορφώνοντας τον φθίνοντα τόπο εργασίας σε πεδίο στοχασμού, όπου η μνήμη, η ύλη και τα ίχνη της βιωμένης εμπειρίας συναντιούνται αθόρυβα. Αυτό το νέο σώμα έργων θα αποτελέσει τον πυρήνα της επερχόμενης ατομικής του έκθεσης στην Callirrhoë.

Belly of the Fish

The solo show entitled Belly of the Fish by Valentina Bartolini conceives the belly as an enclosed, transformative space. Drawing inspiration from proto-surrealist practices, Bartolini redirects attention from the external world to the unconscious, allowing shapes to surface through intuition, introspection and attentive observation. The title alludes to biblical imagery of the inner world and transformation, such as the belly of the whale in the story of Jonah.

Η ατομική έκθεση με τίτλο Η Κοιλιά του Ψαριού της Βαλεντίνας Μπαρτολίνι αντιλαμβάνεται την κοιλιά ως έναν κλειστό, μεταμορφωτικό χώρο. Η Βαλεντίνα Μπαρτολίνι αντλεί έμπνευση από πρωτο-σουρεαλιστικές πρακτικές που μετατοπίζουν την προσοχή από τον εξωτερικό κόσμο στο ασυνείδητο, επιτρέποντας στις μορφές να αναδυθούν μέσω της διαίσθησης, της ενδοσκόπησης και της προσοχής.  Ο τίτλος παραπέμπει σε βιβλικές εικόνες του εσωτερικού κόσμου και της μεταμόρφωσης, όπως η κοιλιά της φάλαινας στην ιστορία του Ιωνά.
